We are delighted to be making final preparations on our largest development to date and commence work on the conversion of a large Victorian property, which was previously a care home, into sixteen luxury apartments.
Originally, we had intended to develop this building into two large luxury homes, with six bedrooms, multiple bathrooms, and multiple reception rooms. Having successfully broken the ceiling price on previous projects we had high expectations to do the same here.
After securing planning everything was in place to start the development in April 2020. However, our original plans were significantly impacted and delayed by the global pandemic. With so much uncertainty in the market we reassessed our options and decided that the best course of action would be to develop apartments, with the intention to sell but that could be rented if required.
The development involves demolishing an ugly rear extension, underpinning and converting the basement and building a new extension which sympathetically reflects the beauty of the original building. The property will accommodate sixteen apartments over four floors, with landscaped gardens.
